Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of services provided by Medio Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 654 518 868, ABN 28 654 518 868) (“we”, “our”, “Medio”).
1.2 By booking or attending a telehealth appointment through Medio, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

 
2. Eligibility & Acceptance
2.1 You confirm you are at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter this agreement.
2.2 You warrant that all information provided during registration and consultation (medical history, contact details) is accurate and complete.


3. Services Provided
3.1 We connect you with Australian‑registered medical practitioners via phone or video for:

  • general telehealth consultations

  • medical certificates

  • prescription issuance

  • referral requests (e.g. pathology, imaging)

3.2 Practitioners exercise clinical judgment and may decline to issue prescriptions or certificates if not medically appropriate.

4. Bookings, Fees & Payments
4.1 Payment is required at the time of booking via approved payment methods.
4.2 A non‑refundable consultation fee applies except as specified in Section 5.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
5.1 You may cancel at no penalty more than 24 hours before your appointment to receive a full refund.
5.2 Cancellations within 24 hours or no‑shows will result in the full booking fee being forefeited. 
5.3 No refunds are provided where a consultation proceeds but the doctor, after assessment, decides not to issue a prescription or medical certificate—even if you are dissatisfied.

6. Medical Cannabis Consultations
6.1 If you intend to seek a prescription for medical cannabis, you are solely responsible for ensuring you are eligible under current regulations before booking.
6.2 We charge the standard consultation fee. No refund will be provided if, after consultation, you are deemed ineligibleand no prescription is issued.
7. Use of Platform & User Conduct
7.1 You agree to use the service lawfully, providing truthful information and not misusing the platform.
7.2 You must maintain confidentiality of your account credentials and notify us of any unauthorised use.

8. Privacy & Data Security
Your personal and health information is handled in accordance with our separate Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and store your data.

9. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, software, layout, and design of the Medio platform remain our property. You may only use materials for personal, non-commercial use.

10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medio and its practitioners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the service.
10.2 Information is provided “as is”; we do not guarantee that outcomes (e.g. prescriptions) will follow every consultation.

11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the app, website, or email. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts.
