Yes - online medical certificates are legitimate and they can be used in the same way as physical medical certificates. Your medical certificate will be emailed to you. You can print it if you wish. With Medio, your symptoms and request for an online medical certificate is reviewed, considered and signed by an AHPRA-Registered Doctor, and comply with the AMA Guidelines.

You can request a prescription online through Medio. New Prescriptions - you'll need to book a Telehealth Appointment with the doctor to discuss your symptoms, and your doctor will provide you with a treatment plan, such as a prescription medication. Repeat Prescriptions - you will still need to speak to the doctor, but you will not need to book a full telehealth appointment. Select the Repeat Prescription option on our bookings page.

The Australian Government has set some specific criteria for patients to be eligible for medical cannabis. ​Medio is a telehealth clinic connecting doctors with patients. We do not sell or stock any medical cannabis products and our doctors are not instructed to prescribe any specific treatment. This means that the price of your treatment can vary, and we encourage you to discuss this with the doctor to ensure your treatment suits your budget. Treatment typically costs $2-10 per day but can vary greatly depending on the dosage and type of product prescribed. Unfortunately, these products are not listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), meaning they are not subsidised by the government.

We charge a flat rate of $89 for all initial consultations. This is because there is a higher administrative workload associated with medicinal prescriptions. Our flat rate of $89 is significantly cheaper than most of our competitors in Australia whose consultation prices range from $99 to $700! Clinics that bulk bill will never allow you to see a doctor. This is because, due to a loophole, only nurse practitioners can bulk-bill without ever seeing a patient in person. This loophole is due to close. Other clinics might advertise "free" consultations but lock you into a subscription. Some might charge smaller fees for consultations but only allow you to order medication products that they will profit from once you make an order. Medio doctors can prescribe any products available in Australia and don't make profits from the products our doctors choose to prescribe. We refuse to rip our patients off.

Medio is not a pharmacy, but we do have some pharmacies that we can recommend. Not all pharmacies stock this treatment and they may charge more than the recommended retail price. We encourage to use our recommended pharmacies for this reason. We will send your prescription directly to them and they will send you your products via express post. ​ You can choose to use your own pharmacy but we are not responsible for their stock available and/or prices.
